Who We Are
Southern Icelandics at Oakfield Farm are one of the only Icelandic horse farms in Dorset. We currently have a head of 14 Icelandic's all at various stages of their lives and training from our youngest at two going on three to our oldest at 30.
Our main aim is to ensure this magnificent breed are able to enjoy their life with us, being loved and well cared for. This is done in a variety of ways including trail riding and hacking over many miles, as well as traditional Icelandic showing.
We are one of the few places in the UK that is lucky enough to have an oval track and we would like to host more events for people to come and share our facilities and join our community.
We would like to give our thanks to Nick, Mic and Mo for creating this safe space for the Icelandic's to live their life to the fullest and we are grateful for Tara who is continuing Nick's work here at Oakfield.
