Spring Show 2022
Southern Icelandic's at Oakfield Farm are hosting our Spring Show 29th April till 2nd May. We will have a variety of classes from Individual to Group to Fun Classes.
This year our show will be judged by Mic Rushern, Martine Bye and Harriet.
The show will be following the FEIF sport rules and guidelines except with regards to shoeing where horses are allowed to compete wearing front shoes only if that is how they are normally ridden (if there are fresh nail holes where shoes have been newly removed from the hind feet they will not be allowed to compete). Barefoot and boot wearing horses are also allowed to compete,

Directions for Arrival at Oakfield:
When Arriving at Oakfield depending on you vehicle depends where you will go. Everyone will come from the driveway and then turn left heading towards the fields, it will all be clearly signed post.
If you have a horsebox you will follow the signs to Access field 1, for car and trailer Access field 2 and for just a car/van Access Field 3.
After horses have been unloaded but before moving to the field pens, there will be a passport inspection to insure vaccinations are up to date.
Horses will be put in pens in the Clubhouse field 1, unless you have requested differently. Please make sure to bring fencing to make separate pens for your horses. If you do not have fencing let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can provide for you.
You will have access to a water supply for your horse in regards to the water trough in the field, please bring a water bucket so you can put it in your individual pens.
Those of you staying overnight in tents will have access to Clubhouse field 3 to put them up and if there is an influxe then we will spread to the caravan field.
Running of the Day:
All qualifier heats will happen on the Saturday with the beer tolt and flag race happening in the evening. On the Sunday finals will be run with the fancy dress being held and hour after the last final.
All horses will have to go through a tack and injury check.
